I'm a Videographer, Photographer, Video Editor, Audio Engineer and Teacher with over 30 years on-the-job experience.
I hold a BA of Communications in the field of radio, TV, and film from Rowan U.
My passion for video and photography started with helping my father with his TV show. While I've always enjoyed editing video, I love live production, technical directing, creating live graphics, and running instant replay.
I've worked as a production manager for a TV station and in radio advertising. I've also owned a recording studio and run front-of-house live sound for bands. My experience includes work for Apple, NFL Films, DVSport, and more.
My mother, a language arts educator, showed me the difference a teacher can make. Watching her inspire countless students sparked my own desire to teach. I chose to follow in her footsteps, hoping to encourage that same curiosity, confidence, and love of learning in my own students.
I have been teaching video production for many years. I've trained and consulted for employees of NBC, CBS, Comcast, NFL Films, and other broadcast and production facilities.
I created Broadcast Showrunner and FLICKCG because I believe great tools should open doors. A student with an idea deserves the chance to bring it to life, and a teacher shouldn’t have to stretch an already tight budget to make that possible.
My goal is to build capable, affordable tools that give students a place to learn, experiment, make mistakes, and discover what they can create. Whether they’re producing their first school broadcast or finding the confidence to take the lead behind the scenes, I want the tools to help them get there.
And teachers deserve a little of that creative joy, too. Teaching should leave room to try something new, put on a great show, and have some fun along the way. That’s what I hope these apps make possible: more opportunities to create together, without the price tag getting in the way.
Join me in this next adventure.
